The CLD Unit is a specialized Unit that caters to children with special needs.
- It aims at guiding our patients from diagnosis all the way through intervention which is tailor made for them. Formal and informal measures are used to identify speech and language deficits in children. Tailor made intervention programs are conducted through evidence based approaches for each child. Additionally, rehabilitation using AAC are also being conducted for children with neurodevelopmental communication disorders.
- The Unit conducts screening for school entrants, awareness programs for teachers, talks/webinars for other allied professionals, and development of appropriate clinical material which can be useful to the public as well.
Assessment and treatment are provided for children with autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, intellectual deficits, receptive and expressive language delay, language-based learning disability/dyslexia, and other acquired language disorders.
